Ambulance Services
Northwest Health Emergency Medical Services (EMS) proudly provides countywide ambulance service for Porter County, Indiana. Our team operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, delivering both advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) care from four strategically located stations across the county.
The EMS service is staffed by paramedics and emergency medical technicians who provide coordinated care when seconds matter most. They work closely with fire and law enforcement partners when needed.
Our specialized services include:
- Mobile Neonatal Intensive Care Transport – for critically ill newborns needing transfer to a neonatal ICU
- Advanced Cardiac Care – with technology that transmits vital heart data directly to emergency room physicians, so treatment decisions can be made before the patient arrives
- Emergency Department Coordination – EMS crews function as an extension of local hospital emergency teams, ensuring continuity of care and striving for the best possible outcomes
