The Pax Center to benefit from Northwest Health - La Porte Peanut Butter Drive
3/2/2026
Northwest Health – La Porte is holding its fourth annual Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive to fight hunger in the La Porte area – will all jars donated to The Pax Center’s food pantry. The hospital is collecting peanut butter until March 20.
Northwest Health – La Porte collects peanut butter because of it’s high nutritional value, stable shelf life and popularity.
“The hospital gives back to the community in a number of ways throughout the year, and our peanut butter drive, Jars of Love is one way we do so,” said Mark Casanova, CEO of Northwest Health – La Porte. “Nationally, we know 1 in 8 Americans experience food insecurity - meaning they don’t have access to enough food, which can contribute to poor health. La Porte County is no exception. The Pax Center is actively helping to address this issue and we are proud to support their efforts”.
The community is invited to drop off jars of peanut butter, or other nut butters in the lobby at Northwest Health – La Porte, 1331 State Street in La Porte. Al’s Supermarket will also be collecting jars later this month.
