Porter Health Care System Welcomes New Urologist

Porter Health Care System continues to expand its Porter Physician Group with the introduction of Urologist, Cristina Fox, M.D. from Hackensack University Medical Center. She joins the Porter Physician Group Urology office located in the Medical Plaza on the Porter Regional Hospital campus in Valparaiso. Dr. Fox, who has also joined the medical staff at Porter Regional Hospital, has expertise in: Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstruction, including prolapse and Pelvic Floor Reconstruction as well as Surgical and Medical Management of Urinary Incontinence; Neuro-urology and Voiding Dysfunction; Women’s Health, Sexual Medicine, Management and Prevention Urologic Stone Disease; and Community Education and Outreach for Prevention of Urologic Disease and Cancer.
Porter Health Care System and Northwest Indiana Market Chief Executive Officer, Sean Dardeau, remarked, “With the addition of Dr. Fox to Porter Physician Group and our Medical Staff, we now provide a comprehensive scope of urologic care. The breadth and depth of experience she brings, along with her experience in pelvic floor reconstruction, will allow more residents of Northwest Indiana to find urologic care right here in Valparaiso rather than travel out of the area for treatment.“
Fox received her medical degree from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, and completed a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstruction at Hackensack University in New Jersey. She performed her residency at the Westchester Medical Center/New York Medical College, with subspecialty rotations at Metropolitan Hospital, Lincoln Hospital Center, Lincoln Hospital Center, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
