Ana Ruby Honored with Annual Northwest Health – Porter Nursing Excellence Award

Northwest Health – Porter announced that Ana Ruby, R.N., has been selected to receive its Nursing Excellence Award for 2023.
This peer-nominated award, given in recognition of the critical role nurses play in treating our patients, was open to qualifying RNs and LPNs working in a direct patient care position who consistently demonstrate characteristics synonymous with nursing excellence.
Ana was chosen for her expertise and exceptional nursing skills. She was described by her peers as a nurse who works tirelessly to anticipate the needs of her patients and teammates. Others wrote that when Ana is in charge on the floor, things always run smoothly even during the busiest of times; and others acknowledged that Ana always goes above and beyond to recognize and encourage others.
“Nurses are nominated for this prestigious award by those who witness their commitment to excellence day in and day out,” said Ashley Dickinson, CEO, Northwest Health. “We are very fortunate to have many outstanding nurses, like Ana, at Northwest Health – Porter. She delivers exceptional, compassionate care to their patients, as well as understands the importance of teamwork and mentoring others.”
In addition to receiving the Nursing Excellence Award itself, Ana received a cash prize and a copy of “Shining the Light on All the Right” by Mark and Bonnie Barnes, co-founders of The DAISY Foundation, an international movement created to recognize and express gratitude for extraordinary nursing.
